Status of Coral Reefs in the Water of Spermonde, Makassar, South Sulawesi

Observations of the condition coral reefs have been carried out in Spermonde waters from 2015 to 2018. The method used this observation uses Underwater Photo Transect (UPT), and data obtained is analyzed using CPCe (Coral Point Count with Excel Extensions) software. results show that percentage cover has increased year year. live was 19.64%, 23.60 2016, 23.72% 2017, 27.83% increase thought occur due availability nutrients. or increasing public awareness, considering location one most famous tourist attractions Makassar. Coral reef health index values can be classify health. Through analysis index, an value 4 obtained, which means “moderate” category.
